Hello, I’m Ruby Von Blush. I am an artist first and foremost. My creations range from personal styles, to objects d’art, to accessories, decor, wall art, and many other pieces. I use various techniques when being creative, including my skills as a cosmetologist to create wearable art with my skill set as a colorist.

Being a Master stylist I believe no two heads are the same. All clients I work with get my undivided attention in order to create something completely new and unique for them. I tailor a look based on their vision, lifestyle, and personal expression. Every technique, application, color formula, and overall design is customized to to fit each of my cherished clients. I want every one of my guests to feel empowered by their visit with me. Rejuvenated with a whole new energy inspired by their fresh look.

With almost 17 years in the salon industry, I have refined my skills and integrated them into all of the art I produce. I have been blessed to travel and live in some incredible places. My time on Kauai, has awakened my motivation to apply my creativity in myriad ways. The romanticism of the islands has further motivated my expression of color and originality. It has enhanced my visions of creativity and fueled my expression with all new salon-able hair creations.

Beyond styling and makeup artistry; my latest art collection is a series of wearable/displayable Mermaid Tiaras inspired by the sea and waiting for the perfect princess or bride to make them their own.

I am also a painter that lets the vibrant colors I’ve beheld in my travels re-emanate through oil, acrylic, and watercolor pallets on to a canvas or other surface. The love I have for painting also carries over into my make-up artistry and it truly serves to enliven my work. Perhaps my favorite canvas is a live person I’ve styled, displaying my work at special events or for publication.

I love what I do. I am humbled at being able to do it as a career and feel truly blessed knowing that. I am eccentric and colorful; implementing those traits into everything I do. Highly personable and friendly–I love people! I have big dreams and visions of amazing projects ahead. There is so much beauty to create and bring to light with so little time to waste.
